Introduction
Urban Poverty is one of the urban stress, it is caused by the inequality between rich and poor within the urban area, and other urban stress are correlated to urban poverty. Some of them are even cause of the urban poverty.
Correlated urban stress to urban poverty: crime& inequality, overcrowding, depletion of green space, poor quality housing, social deprivation and segregation, and waste overburden.

Consequences of urban poverty

Broken window theory à people in the community keep committing crime
Overcrowding causing depletion of green space, and waste overburden.
Urban poverty à people don’t have money to buy houses or at least standard quality housing à usually overcrowded (squatter settlement à lack of green space due to overcrowding à poor communities are lack of hygiene facilitiesà waste not being cleaned or processed.
